Since Nick Bantock was mentioned, I am putting in a couple pictures from the workshop I attended which was taught by Nick. This photo shows a picture of myself working on a collage and Nick is giving me advice.
I would LOVE to take a workshop with him! I love his work! I think I have all his (non children's) books... he had done so many more than just Griffin and Sabine. Fantastic!
I'm with you on that rhonda, I would love to take a workshop with him. I too have almost all his books - except the childrens ones - I love rereading them.
Yes, it was an incredible experience! Nick doesn't teach a great many workshops. I was lucky to find out about this one before too many knew about it. He showed us slides of a lot of his work and gave more details about how he created certain pieces. We combined some writing along with our collage work.
Nick is now giving weekend workshops at his new Studio/Gallery on Saltspring Island. The response has been very positive. He also teaches one in Spain. Check out www.nickbantock.com for more information.
The Soul Food Hermitage Store is the place where travellers, who plan to travel lightly, can stop to buy some supplies. The Messenger and Tote bags are perfect
for carrying your journal, scissors, glue and pens. Buy one and you will be ready to write anywhere, be it at the local coffee shop or while waiting for an appointment.
The Lemurian Playmates are a group who met in Nina’s Tree House and decided to work on Mail Art, Altered Books, Artistic Trading Cards and other art forms.
